Insurance Information
Insurance
Chances are, if your plan has orthodontic coverage, we accept it! We are also contracted providers with all major PPOs and some HMOs. Being a “contracted provider” means that we have agreed upon terms with your insurance for how much a standard orthodontic case will cost. This appears as a discount on your Fee Quote and/or Contract to take our non-insurance rate down to your contracted rate. Additionally, orthodontic insurance has a “lifetime maximum” meaning your insurance provider has a pot of money allowable to use towards your treatment. The lifetime maximum is different for each provider and plan selected. Once you provide us with your exact plan information, we can let you know how much of your lifetime maximum we will expect to collect. Orthodontic coverage and billing works differently from medical and even dental, we understand that it can be confusing and a portion of your complimentary exam will be spent going over how your insurance will be used to your benefit.
No Insurance
We strive to be able to offer treatment to all in the community and unfortunately, most dental plans do not include orthodontic coverage. We understand that beginning treatment is an investment, this is why we offer in-house payment plans with no interest added, our goal is to create a plan where you can have your treatment paid off by the time it is completed and in a manner that is comfortable for each individual patient and family.
Community Support
We are proud to partner with the Future Smiles Program. This program provides low-income, Santa Barbara County youth, with a severe need for orthodontics access to treatment in our office. Most patients from Future Smiles are found through our doctors and other local doctors doing screenings at schools. However, if you have not been selected in a school screening and have questions about if you qualify, feel free to ask our office for details.
